Manuel Andrack reports: The most important thing when hiking is your shoes. If they're not top quality and comfortable, you can forget about the rest. But as we are all out and about in BÄR shoes, we can put a tick in the box when it comes to shoes. But you can't just hike with shoes, because this hobby is called nude hiking. So it's a good thing that BÄR has some hiking equipment to offer in addition to hiking boots.

It starts with the socks. A good sock is essential to ensure that your feet feel comfortable in your hiking boots and don't slip around. I always try to have a few spare socks with me. If socks get wet (rain shower, puddle, unsuccessful stream crossing) you can get terrible blisters. I recommend the BÄR trekking sock for winter and the functional sports sock for summer - when I wear shorts. You should also think about the other end of your body (as seen from your feet). The BÄR Cap is a rainproof cap that I clearly prefer to the alternatives of a hood (usually looks silly) or umbrella (you no longer have both hands free) in moderate rain.
